We celebrated mom's 62nd birthday by indulging in a champagne brunch and heading to the slot machines!! Although Greg, mom, dad, and I made significant donations to the casino, Allie walked away a winner after hitting triple 7's!!!
Izzy was baptized at her God Parents home in Scottsdale. It was so much fun! The pastor performed a baptism that included all family members and friends that attended - the kids had a great time. Tony and Mia (the God Parents) went above and beyond with a fantastic spread of food and pastries!!
And for the 3rd child in a row, Karen arrives at the hospital with her famous post pregnancy peanut butter and chocolate cookies!! Everyone's happy to see her -- it just wouldn't be the same if she didn't make an appearance (and cookies)!!
Paula has been a great friend to me, Greg and my family. She comes to the hospital to meet Izzy but has to share her with Samantha. She's a dear friend of ours that continues to offer priceless parenting advice. The girls love her!!
Sydney and Izzy hit it off right away. It's been 2 weeks now and the first thing Syd wants to do when she wakes up is hold her. She's a great help too!!
Dad goes to school with Sydney on pet day, to show her class our cats, Seth and Dante. Sydney does a great job answering questions from her class. She's getting to be quite a presenter!
Mothers Day was uneventful, just the way I like it!! Sydney and Samantha crafted noodle necklaces for Grandma and Godmother Allie to sport around. Greg made a fantastic dinner for everyone, after planting flowers for me all morning - what a guy!
Sydney and Samantha star in the 'big' gymnastics recital performance. They had a lot of fun, showing mom, dad, and especially Karen, everything they've learned and of course, receiving a metal for outstanding performance!
We were blessed with a visit from old friends!! Sara, who I've known almost 20 years, and her family drove from California to spend a few days with us. Greg and Sara's husband Randy went golfing, the kids played, and Sara and I just caught up. We had a wonderful time!
Easter was a blast! We started our day by heading over to the clubhouse where they had a little petting zoo set up. Sydney and Samantha both held bunnies and petted the animals, that is, until mom was bit by a goose! After that adventure, the girls met the Easter bunny and went on an easter egg hunt.
Family came over, and for a change, Greg didn't cook! We went to an Easter brunch with my parents, Allie, Jo and Al, their neighbor friends Keath and Glenda, and Uncle Heinz. It was a relaxing day for most of us - Allie still found her way to dish duty!!
